A final reminder has been issued to residents in Ireland to exchange their UK/NI driving licence for an Irish driving licence.

The Road Safety Authority (RSA) has issued the prompt before the UK/NI licence becomes invalid to drive in the Republic of Ireland after 31 December 2020 when the Brexit transition period ends.

To exchange a licence, drivers must either visit a National Driver Licence Service (NDLS) centre or apply online at ndls.ie

Over 60,000 people have applied to exchange their UK/NI licence for an Irish driving licence since 2019.
