eDriving FLEET, Zurich and Nestlé Italy have all been recognised for their contribution to improving the safety of at-work drivers, at Brake’s annual Fleet Safety Awards.

Winners were announced at a prestigious ceremony at Hilton Metropole in Birmingham, attended by almost 400 guests, making it Brake’s biggest safety awards to date.

Together, Nestlé Italy, eDriving FLEET and Zurich received the Fleet Safety Partnership Award.

The judges said: “The winning partnership comes from three companies working closely together on a comprehensive road safety programme.

“Road safety is now a business priority for our winners, and they have put in place measures to accurately capture and analyse their incident data.

“In 2012 driving related injuries accounted for 28 per cent of recordable injuries; thanks to the measures put in place by our winners this fell to five per cent by 2015.”

eDriving FLEET was also highly commended in the Fleet Safety Product Award category.

Other winners included:

  • eDriving FLEET client Royal Mail Group received the Company Driver Safety Award
  • eDriving FLEET partner Arval won the Road Safety in the Community Award
  • The Global Road Safety Award was collected by Fundación Mapfre

Ellie Pearson, professional engagement manager at Brake, said: “We were delighted to receive so many strong entries again this year, with organisations and individuals across the world doing fantastic work to make our roads safer for everyone. Congratulations to all this year’s award winners and highly commended entrants for their impressive work over the past year.”
