The ‘Insurance & Road Safety’ workshop, co-organized by the Global Road Safety Partnership (GRSP), AXA, Nestle and Zurich, will take place in Paris on October 27.

The event will bring together many of the most important stakeholders from the insurance and road safety sectors. Dr Soames Job, Head of Global Road Safety at the World Bank and Dr Margie Peden, Coordinator of the Unintentional Injury Prevention Team at the World Health Organization will make keynote addresses ahead of an expert panel discussion and three concurrent workshops.

The event will provide the opportunity to reflect on the key role insurers are playing, and can play, in contributing towards the Sustainable Development Goal of reducing road traffic fatalities by 50 per cent by 2020 with a special focus on emerging market challenges.

The key output of the event will be an industry guide, ‘Defining the Road Safety Business Case & Guiding the Insurance Sector to Impact on Road Safety’. The guide is scheduled for publication in January 2017 as a joint production of the event organizers and eDriving.

The workshop on 27 October 2016 will be hosted in Paris by AXA.
