Uber has announced it is committing to 200,000 free trips for NHS workers, while Uber Eats is committing to 100,000 meals.

The free rides and meals can be claimed by anyone with an NHS email address, including many of the 300,000 nurses in the UK.

Uber will commit 200,000 free trips up to a value of ÂŁ15 each to help staff get to and from work.

Uber Eats will cover NHS staff with a ÂŁ10 voucher to buy a meal from thousands of restaurants and convenience stores in more than 150 towns and cities across the UK.

“The incredible nurses, doctors and support staff of the NHS are doing heroic work at the forefront of this crisis, and everyone at Uber thanks them for their extraordinary efforts,” said Dara Khosrowshahi, CEO, Uber. “We hope we can help in a small way with meals and transportation as they work tirelessly day and night.”
