The Western Cape Government has announced a 15 percent reduction in road fatalities between December and early January, compared to the same period the previous year.
Between December 1 and January 11, there were 132 provincial fatalities – marking the biggest reduction in the country.
Minister Bonginkosi Madikizela said there were more roadblocks and less arrests for drunk driving.
