Dooring, which is opening the door of a parked car when it is not reasonably safe to do, is a common safety issue for cyclists and the increased fine has been introduced by the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure alongside a public education and awareness campaign.<\/p>\n
Increasing safety and helping reduce cycling collisions is an initiative of Move. Commute. Connect<\/a>., BC\u2019s Active Transportation Strategy<\/a>.
