{"id":10230,"date":"2020-11-23T20:31:22","date_gmt":"2020-11-23T20:31:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.edriving.com\/three60\/?p=10230"},"modified":"2020-11-23T20:31:22","modified_gmt":"2020-11-23T20:31:22","slug":"madd-launches-designated-driver-holiday-campaign","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.edriving.com\/three60\/madd-launches-designated-driver-holiday-campaign\/","title":{"rendered":"MADD launches designated driver holiday campaign"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) has kicked off its annual\u00a0\u201c<em>Tie One On for Safety\u201d<\/em>\u00a0designated driver campaign.<\/p>\n<p>MADD, together with campaign sponsor Waymo, is asking road users across the United States to show their commitment to keeping themselves and our communities safe by designating a non-drinking driver and displaying a MADD\u00a0Tie One On for Safety\u00a0red ribbon or magnetic decal on their vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDesignating a driver is now a part of American culture that has saved many, many lives over the past four decades,\u201d said MADD National President Helen Witty. \u201cAs we close out this difficult and uncertain year, we want everyone to celebrate the holiday season safely and protect themselves and others by always planning ahead for a non-drinking driver \u2013 before the first drink.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The holidays are among the most dangerous times on the nation\u2019s roadways, with more people traveling, an increased number of events where alcohol is served, and a surge in drunk driving.
