{"id":10728,"date":"2021-07-08T15:00:57","date_gmt":"2021-07-08T15:00:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.edriving.com\/three60\/?p=10728"},"modified":"2021-07-02T19:34:02","modified_gmt":"2021-07-02T19:34:02","slug":"new-campaign-urges-staycation-caution-in-ireland","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.edriving.com\/three60\/new-campaign-urges-staycation-caution-in-ireland\/","title":{"rendered":"New campaign urges staycation caution in Ireland"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u2018Stay cautious on your staycation\u2019 is the message behind a new campaign launched by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rsa.ie\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Road Safety Authority<\/a> (RSA) and An Garda S\u00edoch\u00e1na.<\/p>\n<p>With many people preparing to stay in Ireland for their summer break this year, due to Covid-19, both the RSA and the Gardai are urging road users to ensure that they stay safe.<\/p>\n<p>Motorists are advised to plan their route, staying alert when driving on unfamiliar roads, take a break if tired behind the wheel and look out for other road users.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you are planning a staycation, it\u2019s only natural for your driving style to reflect the holiday mood,\u201d said Ms. Liz O\u2019Donnell, Chairperson of the Road Safety Authority.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut when combined with driving on unfamiliar roads, it can be a dangerous mix. While it\u2019s great to relax by the beach or in our wonderful green spaces, you need to stay alert when using the road.
