{"id":10903,"date":"2021-09-28T18:43:40","date_gmt":"2021-09-28T18:43:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.edriving.com\/three60\/?p=10903"},"modified":"2021-09-28T18:43:40","modified_gmt":"2021-09-28T18:43:40","slug":"mixed-picture-in-drive-to-decarbonise-uk-roads","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.edriving.com\/three60\/mixed-picture-in-drive-to-decarbonise-uk-roads\/","title":{"rendered":"Mixed picture in drive to decarbonise UK roads"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bvrla.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The BVRLA<\/a> has launched the 2021 version of its annual Road to Zero Report Card providing a traffic-light assessment of the decarbonisation trajectories of the UK\u2019s car, van, and truck fleets.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bvrla.co.uk\/resource\/road-to-zero-report-card-2021.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Road to Zero Report Card<\/a> measures progress against the vital criteria of battery electric vehicle (BEV) supply, demand, and infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>Boosted by new models and significant growth in the charging network, fleet cars received an \u201camber \u2013 accelerating\u201d rating in the report for BEV infrastructure and supply and \u201cgreen \u2013 cruising\u201d score for demand.<\/p>\n<p>But for the van fleet sector the BEV infrastructure, supply, and demand received an \u201camber \u2013 brakes-on\u201d assessment. The rating reflecting growing concerns about a shortage of suitable electric vans for many key use cases.<\/p>\n<p>The report\u2019s biggest concerns were raised with the HGV market which received a blanket \u201cred \u2013 parked\u201d rating.
