Euro NCAP has released safety ratings for five new cars.<\/p>\n
The Ford Mustang Mach-E<\/a>, Hyundai\u2019s IONIQ 5<\/a> and TUCSON<\/a> and the Toyota Yaris Cross<\/a> all achieved a top rating of five stars, while the new Hyundai BAYON<\/a> was awarded four stars.<\/p>\n Ford\u2019s new all-electric crossover SUV, the Mustang Mach-E, is equipped with a centre airbag, deployable bonnet for vulnerable road user protection and a host of advanced driver assistance features.<\/p>\n Hyundai impressed with its all-electric IONIQ 5 and TUCSON, gaining 5-star ratings and Hyundai BAYON achieving 4 stars.<\/p>\n The crossover SUV BAYON doesn\u2019t have the centre airbag but comes with robust crash protection and crash-avoidance features which helped to secure its four-star rating.<\/p>\n The Toyota Yaris Cross was tested partly in Australia and Europe and its result is published in collaboration with sister organisation ANCAP.<\/p>\n In addition to its traditional safety crash and safety tests, Euro NCAP retested two light commercial vans: the Ford Transit<\/a> and the Ford Transit Custom<\/a>, after Ford made seat belt reminders as standard for all occupants across the European market.
