{"id":11133,"date":"2022-01-13T17:25:04","date_gmt":"2022-01-13T17:25:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.edriving.com\/three60\/?p=11133"},"modified":"2022-01-13T17:25:04","modified_gmt":"2022-01-13T17:25:04","slug":"new-eu-rules-for-road-haulage-journeys","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.edriving.com\/three60\/new-eu-rules-for-road-haulage-journeys\/","title":{"rendered":"New EU rules for road haulage journeys"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From 2 February 2022, the EU is introducing new rules that mean\u00a0if you operate loaded goods journeys in and between European Member States (cabotage or cross-trade), you may need to register information digitally about your journeys on a new EU web based portal.<\/p>\n<p>This will include details of the operator, driver, driver employment details, dates of travel, and the vehicle used before the journey commences.<\/p>\n<p>The new rules will apply for those who use:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>vans of any size or other light goods vehicles (sometimes called \u2018light commercial vehicles\u2019)<\/li>\n<li>vans towing trailers<\/li>\n<li>cars towing trailers<\/li>\n<li>HGVs<\/li>\n<li>HGVs towing trailers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The rules will also apply to those who transport goods between two points in the EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway for commercial purposes.
