{"id":13754,"date":"2022-04-15T12:57:58","date_gmt":"2022-04-15T12:57:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.edriving.com\/three60\/?p=13754"},"modified":"2022-04-15T12:57:58","modified_gmt":"2022-04-15T12:57:58","slug":"new-campaign-urges-drivers-in-nsw-to-slow-down","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.edriving.com\/three60\/new-campaign-urges-drivers-in-nsw-to-slow-down\/","title":{"rendered":"New campaign urges drivers in NSW to slow down"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A new campaign has been launched in New South Wales urging drivers to slow down on the roads.<\/p>\n<p>Australia\u2019s most famous maths teacher Eddie Woo is the face of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.transport.nsw.gov.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Transport for New South Wales<\/a> campaign and is using his love of numbers to explain the potentially devastating impact of speeding.<\/p>\n<p>Speeding is currently the biggest killer on NSW roads.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou don\u2019t need to be a mathematician to realise that an increase in speed means longer stopping times,\u201d said Mr Woo.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt 60 kilometres per hour, it takes more than the length of an Olympic swimming pool to come to a complete stop.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThose few kilometres really could mean the difference between stopping safely or not stopping at all, your speed decides the outcome.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The campaign will run until 22 April 2022.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A new campaign has been launched in New South Wales urging drivers to slow down on the roads.
