{"id":13993,"date":"2022-09-27T13:43:40","date_gmt":"2022-09-27T13:43:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.edriving.com\/three60\/?p=13993"},"modified":"2022-09-27T13:43:40","modified_gmt":"2022-09-27T13:43:40","slug":"seatbelt-campaign-urges-drivers-to-click-it-and-live","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.edriving.com\/three60\/seatbelt-campaign-urges-drivers-to-click-it-and-live\/","title":{"rendered":"Seatbelt campaign urges drivers to \u201cclick it and live\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Motorists in Minnesota are being urged to buckle up as part of a new \u2018click it or ticket\u2019 campaign.<\/p>\n<p>The Minnesota Department of Public Safety Office of Traffic Safety (DPS-OTS) has coordinated the enforcement, education and awareness campaign which will see extra police patrols as well as advertising across the State\u200b in support of the Toward Zero Deaths traffic safety program.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEnforcement and education are effective traffic safety tools to help people realize that their decisions matter when it comes to life or death behind the wheel,\u201d said DPS-OTS Director Mike Hanson.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMost Minnesotans buckle up\u2014 and it\u2019s a lifesaver. Those who don\u2019t need to think about how quickly the situation on the road can change. It could be the distracted driver suddenly veering toward you or that unseen patch of ice making your vehicle slide off the road and roll.
