{"id":14071,"date":"2022-11-30T14:43:49","date_gmt":"2022-11-30T14:43:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.edriving.com\/three60\/?p=14071"},"modified":"2022-12-05T16:27:51","modified_gmt":"2022-12-05T16:27:51","slug":"safety-reminder-for-electric-vehicle-drivers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.edriving.com\/three60\/safety-reminder-for-electric-vehicle-drivers\/","title":{"rendered":"Safety reminder for electric vehicle drivers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The New South Wales Government is reminding electric vehicle drivers to affix a safety label to their number plates to assist emergency services in the event of a crash.<\/p>\n<p>Safety labels are mandatory on both hybrid and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles to make sure that firefighters and other first responders can safely handle any fire or rescue in a collision or emergency.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are more than 100,000 hybrid or electric cars registered in NSW and we are asking those drivers to help us help them by making sure they are easily identifiable,\u201d said Tara McCarthy, Deputy Secretary of Safety, Environment and Regulation at Transport for NSW.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy ensuring that a safety label is affixed to your front and rear number plates, emergency services will be able to identify and safely respond to an incident involving an alternatively fueled vehicle.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Safety labels are available for free at Service NSW service centres and can be ordered online by visiting Transport\u2019s online portal.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The New South Wales Government is reminding electric vehicle drivers to affix a safety label to their number plates to assist emergency services in the event of a crash.
