{"id":14607,"date":"2024-03-29T14:13:33","date_gmt":"2024-03-29T14:13:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.edriving.com\/three60\/?p=14607"},"modified":"2024-03-29T14:13:33","modified_gmt":"2024-03-29T14:13:33","slug":"drivers-in-victoria-reminded-to-take-a-break-this-easter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.edriving.com\/three60\/drivers-in-victoria-reminded-to-take-a-break-this-easter\/","title":{"rendered":"Drivers in Victoria reminded to take a break this Easter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Victorians hitting the roads this Easter weekend are being urged to plan ahead, take regular breaks, and drive to the conditions to stay safe.<\/p>\n<p>The Victorian State Emergency Service (VICSES) volunteers and the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) have teamed up to launch the Easter Driver Reviver program.<\/p>\n<p>Over the long weekend, Victorians will be able to take a break, grab a free hot drink and snacks at 30 Driver Reviver locations across the state \u2013 including the Hume Highway, Murray Valley Highway and Western Highway.<\/p>\n<p>Drivers are being urged to get enough rest, allow plenty of travel time, plan a break from the road every two hours and swap drivers where possible.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Every death on our roads is a tragedy \u2013 we want to make sure every Victorian gets home safely this long weekend,\u201d said Minister for Roads and Road Safety Melissa Horne.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you\u2019re feeling tired behind the wheel, remember to pull over, take a break, and if possible switch drivers \u2013 it could save your life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For a full list Driver Reviver and Pause Stop locations, visit: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ses.vic.gov.au\/news-and-media\/campaigns\/driver-reviver\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ses.vic.gov.au\/news-and-media\/campaigns\/driver-reviver<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Victorians hitting the roads this Easter weekend are being urged to plan ahead, take regular breaks, and drive to the conditions to stay safe.
