{"id":14952,"date":"2025-01-27T15:00:55","date_gmt":"2025-01-27T15:00:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.edriving.com\/three60\/?p=14952"},"modified":"2025-01-21T21:05:46","modified_gmt":"2025-01-21T21:05:46","slug":"osha-joins-forces-with-national-safety-council-led-road-to-zero-coalition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.edriving.com\/three60\/osha-joins-forces-with-national-safety-council-led-road-to-zero-coalition\/","title":{"rendered":"OSHA joins forces with National Safety Council-led Road to Zero Coalition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The US Department of Labor\u2019s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has joined the National Safety Council Road to Zero Coalition, the nation\u2019s largest traffic safety alliance dedicated to eliminating roadway fatalities.<\/p>\n<p>As a member of the Steering Committee, OSHA\u2019s role will be to offer key insights and proven solutions to address the leading cause of death on the job \u2013 transportation incidents.<\/p>\n<p>In 2023, roadway deaths accounted for 37% of all work-related fatalities. The NSC said OSHA&#8217;s representation on the Coalition\u2019s steering committee marked \u201ca significant step toward tackling this ongoing challenge.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The most dangerous thing a person can do on the job is get in a vehicle,&#8221; said Lorraine Martin, NSC president and CEO, and chair of the Road to Zero Coalition.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;That\u2019s what makes this partnership so critical. By joining Road to Zero, OSHA strengthens our ability to protect workers both on and off the job.
