{"id":15000,"date":"2025-03-12T15:00:40","date_gmt":"2025-03-12T15:00:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.edriving.com\/three60\/?p=15000"},"modified":"2025-03-11T20:37:06","modified_gmt":"2025-03-11T20:37:06","slug":"grants-program-supporting-community-road-safety","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.edriving.com\/three60\/grants-program-supporting-community-road-safety\/","title":{"rendered":"Grants program supporting community road safety"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A funding pot of $600,000 has been made available by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tac.vic.gov.au\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Transport Accident Commission<\/a> (TAC) for road safety projects in Victoria, Australia.<\/p>\n<p>Two categories are available including a Road Safety Support Grant of up to $50,000 and Road Safety Collaboration Grant of up to $150,000.<\/p>\n<p>In 2024, six Victorian community groups and organisations received funding, sharing in $350,000 to support local road safety projects.<\/p>\n<p>They included the Cultura Geelong which received a $132,999 Road Safety Collaboration Grant to identify knowledge gaps and develop recommendations for engaging and communicating with emerging multicultural communities on road safety.<\/p>\n<p>Good Cycles received a $50,000 Road Safety Support Grant to develop an education program to support an equitable e-bike program for residents of social and affordable housing developments.<\/p>\n<p>The programs support the goals of the Government\u2019s Victorian Road Safety Strategy which aims to halve deaths and reduce serious injuries on roads by 2030.<\/p>\n<p>Applications for the 2025 TAC Road Safety Grant Program close on Wednesday, 2 April at 3 pm.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re supporting communities to identify road safety issues and find ways to make roads safer in their local areas,\u201d said Minister for Roads and Road Safety Melissa Horne.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe continue to invest at record levels in road safety infrastructure that saves lives, reduces injuries, and prevents crashes before they happen.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A funding pot of $600,000 has been made available by the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) for road safety projects in Victoria, Australia.
