\u2018Drink lemons. Don\u2019t drive them,\u2019 urges Victorians to drive the safest car they can afford and aims to reshape the perceptions of what makes a \u2018lemon\u2019 car \u2013 shifting the focus beyond reliability to include vehicles lacking essential safety features.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Formula 1 Louis Vuitton Australian Grand Prix 2025 is an iconic Melbourne event, and a perfect setting to engage fans on how choosing the safest car they can afford will keep themselves and their loved ones safe on the road,\u201d said TAC CEO, Tracey Slatter.<\/p>\n

According to the TAC almost two thirds of all drivers and passengers killed on Victorian roads last year were in vehicles over 10 years old \u2013 models, it said, that were less likely to have life-saving features such as automatic emergency braking (AEB), electronic stability control (ESC), and side curtain airbags.<\/p>\n
