{"id":15357,"date":"2025-12-22T15:00:55","date_gmt":"2025-12-22T15:00:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.edriving.com\/three60\/?p=15357"},"modified":"2025-12-23T20:32:30","modified_gmt":"2025-12-23T20:32:30","slug":"nsc-receives-more-than-1m-to-boost-roadway-safety-efforts-in-four-states","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.edriving.com\/three60\/nsc-receives-more-than-1m-to-boost-roadway-safety-efforts-in-four-states\/","title":{"rendered":"NSC receives more than $1m to boost roadway safety efforts in four states"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The National Safety Council (NSC) has received four federal pass-through grants totaling nearly $1.3 million to help employers prevent roadway crashes, injuries and fatalities through its <a href=\"https:\/\/nc.ourdrivingconcern.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u2018Our Driving Concern\u2019<\/a> program.<\/p>\n<p>The awards will expand efforts to equip employers with free education, training and resources to help strengthen safety culture and protect workers both on and off the job.<\/p>\n<p>The funding supports the Council\u2019s continued collaboration with state highway safety offices in Texas, Ohio, North Carolina and West Virginia to address leading crash factors such as distraction, speed and lack of seat belt use.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPrevention requires action,\u201d said Lorraine Martin, NSC CEO.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese grants empower employers by giving them free tools, training and support to provide to their employees \u2013 and, in turn, to their communities.
