{"id":15409,"date":"2026-03-09T20:07:04","date_gmt":"2026-03-09T20:07:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.edriving.com\/three60\/?p=15409"},"modified":"2026-03-09T20:07:04","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T20:07:04","slug":"potholes-tackled-across-new-south-wales-to-make-roads-safer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.edriving.com\/three60\/potholes-tackled-across-new-south-wales-to-make-roads-safer\/","title":{"rendered":"Potholes tackled across New South Wales to make roads safer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>More than 106,500 potholes have been repaired on roads in regional New South Wales (NSW), Australia, this financial year.<\/p>\n<p>And according to the Government, since March 2023, it has filled more than 500,000 potholes, lifting the share of pothole-free state-managed roads across regional NSW to 82%.<\/p>\n<p>The work is being supported by $155 million in accelerated funding, boosting the regional road maintenance budget to $1.25 billion this year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve repaired more than 106,500 potholes across regional NSW in the past seven months \u2013 because people want safer, smoother roads they can rely on,\u201d said Minister for Roads, Jenny Aitchison.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut we aren\u2019t stopping there. Half a million in three years is a major milestone but our fight against potholes is ongoing \u2013 and we will be working hard to repair and resurface as many as we can.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis work is not glamorous \u2013 but it\u2019s the basics that matter.
