The toolkit is designed to help employers plan for the annual workplace safe driving campaign that takes place October 3-7 and is targeted to all employees\u2014company drivers and commuters alike.<\/p>\n<p>The theme of this year\u2019s DSWW campaign\u2014sponsored by the Network of Employers for Traffic Safety (NETS)\u2014is \u201cDrowsy, Distracted or Focused \u2026Your Decisions Drive Your Safety,\u201d which seeks to improve the driving safety of employees, employee family members and their communities. The eDriving RoadRISK assessment is highlighted as a recommended campaign activity to engage employees and to kick off the first of five themed days.<\/p>\n<p>Ed Dubens, Executive Vice President of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edriving.com\/fleet\/\"><u>eDriving\u2019s Fleet division<\/u><\/a>, shared support for NETS and the workplace campaign mission, commenting: \u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to be part of this important effort in such a constructive way. We sincerely hope our assessment tool helps make a meaningful difference in advancing critical safety and risk management goals.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Specifically, the eDriving RoadRISK Self Assessment explores knowledge of defensive driving best practices, travel patterns, vehicle use and previous road safety performance records. At the end of the assessment, which has been completed nearly 500,000 times, participants are able to compare their risk rating to other drivers who have completed the self-assessment. They receive a benchmark score related to their attitude toward driving, behavior behind the wheel as well as an overall benchmark score identifying very high, high, medium and low risk drivers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve already received a lot of positive feedback on the assessment,\u201d said Jack Hanley, Executive Director of the Network of Employers for Traffic Safety.\u00a0 \u201ceDriving is a NETS Executive Fleet Safety Sponsor and sharing this assessment tool for free has made a first rate campaign even better.
