{"id":8347,"date":"2019-02-05T13:20:57","date_gmt":"2019-02-05T13:20:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.edriving.com\/three60\/?p=8347"},"modified":"2019-02-05T14:50:24","modified_gmt":"2019-02-05T14:50:24","slug":"new-report-identifies-seven-ways-to-tackle-drink-driving-in-eu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.edriving.com\/three60\/new-report-identifies-seven-ways-to-tackle-drink-driving-in-eu\/","title":{"rendered":"New report identifies seven ways to tackle drink-driving in EU"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The European Transport Safety Council (ETSC) has published a new report that identifies ways to tackle drink-driving in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>Part of the ETSC\u2019s SMART (Sober Mobility Across Road Transport) project, the report aims to present the wide-ranging approaches used to tackle drink driving in Europe, including legislation (BAC limits, rehabilitation programmes for drink driving offenders), enforcement, technology (alcohol interlocks) campaigns and education.<\/p>\n<p>It highlights that the numbers of deaths attributed to drink-driving cannot currently be compared between countries, as there are large differences in the way in which countries define and record a \u201croad death attributed to drink-driving\u201d.
