{"id":9145,"date":"2019-10-21T15:47:57","date_gmt":"2019-10-21T15:47:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.edriving.com\/three60\/?p=9145"},"modified":"2019-10-21T15:47:57","modified_gmt":"2019-10-21T15:47:57","slug":"public-bike-and-scooter-sharing-schemes-increase-in-us","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.edriving.com\/three60\/public-bike-and-scooter-sharing-schemes-increase-in-us\/","title":{"rendered":"Public bike and scooter sharing schemes increase in US"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The number of bikeshare and e-scooter schemes has reached almost 300 across the U.S., according to latest figures.<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. Department of Transportation\u2019s Bureau of Transportation Statistics has revealed a new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bts.gov\/topics\/passenger-travel\/bikeshare-and-e-scooters\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">interactive map<\/a> which shows the rapid growth of the transport schemes across the country from 2015 to 2019.<\/p>\n<p>The bikeshare and e-scooter map shows, by city, the name of the e-scooter system and bikeshare system, both docked or dockless, serving it for every year from 2015 to 2019. For cities with a docked bikeshare system, the map can be zoomed to the locations of the docking stations at the street level.<\/p>\n<p>Dockless bikeshare systems and e-scooters first appeared in the U.S. in 2017 and have expanded coverage since then.
