People may also feel out of practice if they haven\u2019t driven a car for a while.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you haven\u2019t driven for a while due to lockdown, you might feel a bit strange getting back behind the wheel, and your vehicle will need a few simple checks to ensure it\u2019s roadworthy,\u201d said Richard Leonard, Highways England Head of Road Safety, Safety, Engineering &amp; Standards. \u201cChecking your tyres, oil, water, lights and fuel doesn\u2019t take long \u2013 but it will help keep you and your loved ones safe. And if you\u2019re on a long journey, remember to take breaks.
