The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, Transport for London (TfL) and the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) have published London’s first “Vision Zero” action plan that details how the capital intends to eliminate deaths and serious injuries from London’s transport network.

As automakers increasingly offer partial automation technology such as adaptive cruise control, lane-centering assist, and lane-keeping assist, safety experts say drivers are not yet comfortable with depending on it.

More than 800 people died in crashes involving red light running in 2016, an increase of 17 percent since 2012, according to analysis by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
