Samsung has announced that it has developed an app in an effort to help prevent distracted driving.
Samsung Electronics Benelux B.V. has created the new app, called In-Traffic Reply, which aims to help drivers reply to messages without taking their focus off the road.
The In-Traffic Reply app sends automated responses to calls and messages while the phone owner is on the road. It activates when it detects the user is riding a bike or driving a car through the smartphone’s sensors such as its GPS. Users can choose a default reply (I’m driving, so I cannot answer at the moment’) or a customized pre-set reply.
The app is currently in beta and is set to launch mid-May.
