A new road safety campaign has been launched in Western Australia to tackle a rise in young males choosing not to wear a seat belt.

The ‘Always wear your safety gear. Belt up campaign’ uses scenarios involving a cricket player, firefighter, and a tradesperson to encourage the viewer to question their reluctance to wear a seat belt, highlighting that it is just as – if not more – risky than the examples presented.

The State Government campaign will run across regional media, including television, on-demand TV, radio, digital and social media, and roadside billboards.
