A nine-year-old boy has been spending his leisure time campaigning for helmet use on the roads of Vijayawada, India, reports The News Minute.
T Jayachandra Prasad has been spreading the message by cycling with a “Use Your Helmet” signboard. His passion for road safety has now been recognized by Police Commissioner Gautam Sawang who presented him with a new bicycle at a recent “Run for Unity” to commemorate the 142nd birth anniversary of India’s “Iron Man”, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
“I will continue to spread the message for road safety. Many are losing lives because of riding without helmets,” said Jayachandra, according to the news report.
