The Pokémon GO app has been updated by its developers Niantic with a message asking users to confirm they are not driving before they play.
If the app detects a user going above a certain speed they will be asked to confirm they are a passenger to continue playing.
Reportedly, the developers have also changed the scanning technology used for finding Pokémon from a crawl rate of five seconds to 10 seconds. This change was apparently designed to prevent people scanning for characters while in a moving vehicle.
