More than 850 traffic signals in parts of the west, south-east, and east of Melbourne are being analysed and updated to create smoother journeys.
A team of traffic signal engineers will analyse, monitor, and re-time hundreds of traffic lights to optimise traffic flow and improve safety.
“These changes are being implemented to ensure we have an integrated and sustainable transport network,” said Anna Evangelista, team leader for our Signal Optimisation team.
The initiative is part of the $340 million Smarter Roads program.
