The World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims (WDor) will take place on Sunday November 17, 2019.

Commemorated on the third Sunday of November each year, the Day is held to remember the many millions killed and injured on the world’s roads, together with their families, friends and many others who are affected by road crashes.

The slogan for this year’s commemoration of WDoR is “Life is not a car part”, relating to Pillar 3 of the Global Decade of Action: Safer vehicles. In addition, it accords with the general theme of the 3rd Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety that will take place in Stockholm in February 2020 – “Achieving Global Goals 2030”.

WDoR helps to raise awareness of the harsh reality of the consequences of road crashes. Organizations around the world are invited to hold events to commemorate the Day.
