The World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims (WDor) will take place on Sunday November 17, 2019.
Commemorated on the third Sunday of November each year, the Day is held to remember the many millions killed and injured on the worldâs roads, together with their families, friends and many others who are affected by road crashes.
The slogan for this yearâs commemoration of WDoR is âLife is not a car partâ, relating to Pillar 3 of the Global Decade of Action: Safer vehicles. In addition, it accords with the general theme of the 3rd Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety that will take place in Stockholm in February 2020 â âAchieving Global Goals 2030â.
WDoR helps to raise awareness of the harsh reality of the consequences of road crashes. Organizations around the world are invited to hold events to commemorate the Day.
