eDriving Releases FNOL (First Notice of Loss) as Standalone App to Help Minimize Cost of Fleet Claims and Prevent Future Collisions

A new FNOL (First Notice of Loss) app that helps fleets better manage the claims process following a collision, license violation or near miss has been released by eDriving, a leading global provider of driver risk management programs.

Originally incorporated as a feature of its award-winning, smartphone-based driver behavior improvement program, Mentor by eDrivingSM, FNOL is now being offered as a standalone app, available for download on both Apple and Android devices.

FNOL enables fleet drivers to submit to employers and interested parties the information and photos required after an incident to accelerate the risk management process and minimize costs. Event details and images can be submitted from the app to the accident/fleet management company to initiate vehicle repairs; to the insurer/broker to initiate claims processing; and to the employer for causation analysis, driver coaching and risk scoring.

“Our launch of FNOL to Mentor users around the world in October 2019 was a significant development in driver risk management, as it provided fleet operators with an innovative tool to speed up the claims process, potentially helping to reduce total claims cost significantly,” said Ed Dubens, CEO/ Founder of eDriving. “We’re delighted to make this feature available as a standalone app that will enable even more fleet operators to improve their risk management processes and help prevent future collisions from occurring through prompt intervention and targeted coaching.”

Research has shown that if a fleet can start the claims process with their insurance partner in under 30 days, the total claims cost can be reduced by up to 40 percent. The FNOL app enables drivers to initiate the claims process immediately following an incident. Drivers can upload up to eight images and provide incident details, such as time and date, type of event and description.

FNOL can be downloaded from the Apple Store and on Google Play.
