eDriving Renews ISO/IEC 27001 Certification for Information Security

Cape May, New Jersey – [November 24, 2021] – eDrivingSM, a Solera company and leading global provider of digital driver risk management solutions, has achieved recertification of the ISO/IEC 27001: 2013 standard for information security management.

ISO 27001 is an internationally recognized standard that defines best practice for an Information Security Management System (ISMS). eDriving first achieved the standard in 2014 and has since continued to have a robust and comprehensive ISMS that meets the highest standards for protecting client information.

“Today, data security and privacy compliance are among the most important considerations for practically every business,” said Ed Dubens, CEO/Founder of eDriving. “For us, data security is critical, given the Personally Identifiable Information we are trusted with securing. We’re proud to have an operating culture that puts client privacy and data protection first, validated by our ISO 27001 independently-audited certification.”

The information security management system standard’s best-practice approach helps organizations manage their information security by addressing people, processes, and technology. Certification to the ISO 27001 Standard is recognized worldwide as an indication that a company is aligned with information security best practice.

ISO 27001 recertification recognizes eDriving’s commitment to:

  • Protecting its clients’ employee information in accordance with international standards
  • Collecting information ONLY for the purpose of protecting the safety of those who drive for work purposes
  • Benchmarking its policies and procedures against international best practice
  • Assuring clients and their employees of its commitment to, and investment in, technology and company procedures to ensure a secure and reliable operating environment for users globally

eDriving is acutely aware of the privacy considerations and concerns of its clients and their employees and has a dedicated Privacy team that supports organizations and their works councils and unions during the program planning and approval process to allay privacy concerns early and enable everyone to focus on the mission – ensuring all employees who drive for work purposes arrive home safely at the end of each day.

All eDriving’s programs and tools operate within a highly secure, privacy-first environment, in which only driver data required for risk management is shared with the manager. No location data or individual trip data is visible beyond the driver.
