eDriving has been using technology to disrupt and advance driver training since our inception 20 years ago. The focus of eDriving’s predecessor companies, Driversed.com and I Drive Safely, was to increase access to high-quality driver’s ed and driver improvement training, allowing people to control the pace of their learning, and enabling them to do so anywhere, anytime. And so we created these categories and remain the category leader today. By bringing drivers ed and traffic school online and combining them with engaging content, eDriving made these important resources more accessible and more convenient, making roads everywhere safer.
The broad availability of these services grew the market and built the foundation for an expanded view of the possibilities for driver training and road safety. Fueled by the internet’s vast reach, the advent of telematics, the world’s growing fascination with the Internet of Things, and the proliferation of new driver-based business models, eDriving’s mission to fundamentally improve driving behavior—not just knowledge, but what is actually happening behind the wheel—grew. Our frontiers expanded to include a global footprint and fleet focus with the acquisition of one of the most respected, tested, and awarded global driver training and risk reduction companies, Interactive Driving Systems.
Now with two decades of experience, eDriving is the largest global provider of online driver training and global driver risk management with more than 10 million U.S. consumer customers to date and 700,000 fleet drivers worldwide annually. In addition to providing state-regulated online novice driver training and certification and online traffic school, our focus is on helping drivers become smarter and safer behind the wheel in close partnership with corporations, other fleet service companies, and insurance companies. We will continue to use technology to provide drivers with more efficacious, convenient, and engaging options for controlling their lives behind the wheel. It’s what we do. Our Mission—Attack the 94% Problem
Our mission is centered on the driver, whether that driver is a teen, an adult, or an employee driver. We believe the route to a better driving ecosystem is through the driver by affecting what each driver actively chooses to do each mile they drive. We are focused on meaningfully addressing the fact that over 94% of road incidents are caused by driver decisions and attitudes behind the wheel and we intend to measurably move the needle.
