eDriving CEO and head of fleet to share industry expertise at NETS 2017

eDriving CEO Celia Stokes and Executive Vice President of eDriving FLEET Ed Dubens will attend the Network of Employers for Traffic Safety (NETS) 2017 annual Benchmark Conference this week where they will share industry insights and eDriving’s latest innovative solutions aimed at solving the 94% problem.

Taking place October 11-12 at the Omni Hotel, Charlottesville, VA, the 2017 STRENGTH IN NUMBERS® Conference is the only conference focused exclusively on employer road safety. It will include new research, emerging industry issues and case studies, as well as a review of the annual NETS Fleet Safety Benchmark Report.

“A hallmark of past NETS conferences has been the sharing of best practices across industry sectors enabling participants to benefit from a wide variety of road safety perspectives and successful implementation strategies,” said Joe McKillips, Executive Director, NETS. “This year’s event will include a number of leadership-themed presentations which are sure to resonate with attendees. Leadership partners who support road safety programs of all sizes and maturity levels are also encouraged to attend the conference in order to benefit from these presentations.”

For the first time in conference history attendees have the opportunity to travel to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety/Highway Loss Data Institute Vehicle Research Center to witness a “live” car-to-car crash test and participate in hands-on vehicle demonstrations.

“With employers placing increased emphasis on vehicle crash and integrity ratings, this hands-on field trip presents an excellent opportunity for road safety professionals to also invite personnel from their organization’s fleet leasing and procurement divisions as vehicle selection and decision-making is often a collaborative effort between each of these groups,” McKillips added.

eDriving is an executive sponsor of the conference, which will also include the presentation “The Intersection of Sales and Fleet Safety” by eDriving FLEET client Janssen Pharmaceuticals.

“Celia and I are looking forward to meeting attendees and discussing the latest trends in effective driver risk management and training,” Dubens said. “Following the recent announcement that eDriving is expanding its range of telematics offerings, we’re keen to share details of the ways in which we are helping clients ensure their drivers get home to their loved ones and communities at the end of each work day.

“eDriving is proud to continue our executive sponsorship of such an important event on the annual fleet calendar. It will offer a valuable opportunity for those in the fleet industry to network with peers, learn best practices and discover how to meet industry challenges head on.”

Dubens, a veteran of the fleet risk management industry for over 20 years, has helped transform the way companies proactively manage risk and prioritize the safety of their employees. His leadership efforts have been instrumental in initiating and maintaining collaborative industry benchmarking initiatives.

Stokes, leader of the largest provider of online driver training and global driver safety management solutions, is passionate about the power of online education to change lives and create safer drivers. She is also a self-confessed “poster child” for deep driving denial, keen to share details of what it took to finally get her to change her ways.

Together the pair will offer best practice knowledge gleaned from working with some of the world’s most successful businesses, such as BT, Nestlé, Zurich, Cummins, Pfizer, Siemens, Johnson & Johnson, Mondelēz, GSK, Merck, Liberty Mutual and Iron Mountain.

They will also share details of eDriving’s recently launched patented “closed-loop” smartphone telematics solution for fleet drivers that incorporates behavioral change best practices as well as app-based micro learning. MentorSM by eDriving uses the new industry standard risk predictor FICO® Safe Driving Score to ranks users’ driving behavior and, in turn, delivers tailored driver training content straight to the user’s device
